The Reverend Johnny Clay Bush is a native of Columbia, South Carolina, and is presently residing in the Stamford, Connecticut community. Reverend Bush received his Bachelor’s degree in Religion/Philosophy from Newberry College and his Master’s of Divinity degree from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary of Columbia, South Carolina. Reverend Bush is a Certified Supervisor with the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, and the only active African-American male holding this certification in the eastern region of the United States. He is also the program coordinator and supervisor for Clinical Pastoral Education at the Riverside Church of Manhattan under the pastoral leadership of The Reverend Dr. James Forbes. Reverend Bush served as pastor to the Friendship Baptist Church of Hopkins, South Carolina for almost 12 years and is currently in his tenth year of pastorate at the Greater Faith Tabernacle Baptist Church of Stamford, Connecticut. Reverend Bush is the moderator for the Judah Baptist Association of the Lower Fairfield County division of churches for the state. He and his wife, Carolyn, have one son, Joseph Henry.
